More to come on the parking spot project…
I’d like to post the costs in case anyone is interested in doing a similar project.
And please, let me know if you do.
If I had to do it again I’d lay down the retaining timbers first. That just makes too much sense…lol!!
Next up is a little landscaping around the spot…just a few oleanders and coneflower.
Big milestone reached today! The trellised fence came down!! Allowing for a SUPER NICE parking spot in back for friends.
The fence was so weathered — it WAS TIME!! YIPPPPEEE!!! Progress!!
Some of the wood posts came out easy. Like, just detached from the cement posts due to wood rot.
My fingers went numb and I used up at least four different bottles of water.
BUT this is TOTALLY WORTH IT.
About 4 yards of decomposed granite is being dumped at the edge of the property — TOMORROW.
Then the SPREADING part begins.
Say a prayer for us — and if you are a true friend you’ll remind me just how FREAKIN hard this is…so I don’t get a crazy idea like this NEXT SUMMER.
